On August 23, 2025, at 2129 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 4400 block of Bowser Avenue to the report of a shooting.

Details/Summary:
One person is in life-threatening condition after a shooting in the 4400 block of Bowser Ave. just before 9:30 pm. The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the shooting and located an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). Officers provided aid the male until medics arrived. The male was transported to a local hospital where doctors determined his injuries were life-threatening.

This shooting is being investigated by the FWPD Homicide Team, Crime Scene, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
