On August 24, 2025, at 1100 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was alerted to a fire alarm at the American Sealant plant at 9190 Yeager Lane Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1100 hours
On Scene: 1110 hours
Under Control: 1140 hours
The first fire unit arrived on the scene and found an active water flow alarm coming from the building. That crew entered the building and found smoke inside the building. The response was upgraded to a structure fire bringing 6 additional units to the scene. The fire was located inside a manufacturing area. The building’s sprinkler system had extinguished the fire. Crews worked on scene to mitigate any further water damage to the building and to remove the smoke from the building. The building was not occupied at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
