Traffic Alert: Lake Avenue to be closed from Reed to Lakehurst August 26 – 28, 2025

Due to private utility work by NIPSCO, Lake Avenue will be closed from Reed Road to Lakehurst Drive August 26 to 28, 2025.

Lake Avenue to be closed from Reed to Lakehurst August 26 – 28

Fort Wayne, Indiana (August 22, 2025) – Due to private utility work by NIPSCO, Lake Avenue will be closed from Reed Road to Lakehurst Drive August 26 – 28. The detour using Reed Road, East State Boulevard and Maplecrest Road will be posted.

As a service to the community, the City of Fort Wayne Public Works Division provides information about lane restrictions and road closures that have been submitted to us, whether or not they are City of Fort Wayne projects.
