Several traffic projects around the city begin today which could have impact on your travel plans.

Traffic alerts for motorists
Fort Wayne, Indiana (August 18, 2025) – Motorists should be advised that work beginning today could impact travel in certain areas of Fort Wayne.
- Utility work on Fairfield Avenue from Locust to Bass streets will restrict the northbound travel lane. This work is expected to be completed on Wednesday.
- Sidewalk repairs on Ewing Street from West Berry to West Wayne streets will close the right southbound lane. This work is expected to be completed on Friday.
- Gas utility work will restrict the right westbound lane of East State Boulevard from White Oak Avenue to Hobson Road. Work is expected to be completed today.
- Taylor Street from Electric Avenue to Pauline Street will have eastbound traffic restricted with flaggers posted for pipeline inspection work beginning today and finishing Wednesday.
- East Berry Street from Monroe to Clay streets will have a right lane closure for sanitary sewer work Tuesday.
