The Allen County Coroner has identified Toni Lynn Ott as the 26th Allen County Homicide in 2025.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
The autopsies have been completed an notification has been made to the next of kin for the individual’s found deceased within their home in the 900 block of Morrow Way, in Fort Wayne, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at approximately 14:53 hours. The decedents were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Fort Wayne Fire Department.
Identified are Toni Lynn Ott, a female, White 45 years of age and James Derek Moreno, a male, White, 47 years of age, both are from Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Toni Lynn Ott’s Cause of Death has been determined to be a Gunshot Wound of the Head, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Toni Lynn Ott is the 26th Homicide for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2025.
James Derek Moreno’s Cause of Death has ben determined to be a Gunshot Wound of Head, and the Manner of Death is Suicide.
