On August 2, 2025, at 1718 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 1700 block of Kentucky Avenue.
Time of Alarm: 1718 hours
On Scene: 1721 hours
Under Control: 1741 hours
The first fire engine arrived within three minutes to find a two-story house with fire coming from the rear of the residence. Crews worked quickly to get multiple hose lines to extinguish the fire.
A thorough search of the structure found three dogs – all deceased.
The fire was brought under control in approximately 20 minutes.
The fire remains under investigation at this time.
