Super Shot, Inc. to host back-to-school Start Smart! vaccine events
Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 21, 2025) — With the next school year quickly approaching, Super Shot, Inc. is supporting the Indiana Department of Health’s START SMART! campaign to catch students up on required school immunizations by offering two START SMART! community vaccine events:
- Thursday, July 24, 4-7 p.m.: Super Shot, 1515 Hobson Road, Fort Wayne, IN.
- Thursday, July 31, 4-7 p.m.: Super Shot, 1515 Hobson Road, Fort Wayne, IN.
During the Start Smart! Community vaccine events, all school recommended vaccines will be offered plus the first 100 children that receive their vaccines, will receive a full-sized backpack filled with school supplies. There will also be free food, fun, and a community resource fair. A parent or legal guardian must accompany children under 18 and insured individuals are asked to provide insurance information. “The Start Smart! Campaign is state-wide effort to get students across Indiana up-to-date on their school vaccines before school starts. Super Shot is hosting two vaccine events before the school year starts to help families check this important ‘to-do’ off their list. Students going into kindergarten, sixth grade, and 12th grade are required to receive age-specific immunizations prior to school starting,” said Connie Heflin, Executive Director of Super Shot. “Our aim is to make back to school immunizations convenient and affordable for families and for students to start the school year protected from preventable diseases.”
