
On July 21, 2025, at 1020 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to the 700 block of Louisedale Drive to a reported house fire.
Time of Alarm: 1020 hours
On Scene: 1024 hours
Under Control: 1032 hours
Fort Wayne Fire Department Engine 6 was the first unit on the scene and found light smoke inside the structure. The crew stretched a hose line and aggressively attacked the fire.
Two adults and a dog self-evacuated prior to the fire departments arrival. Other crews arrived and searched the house for any other occupants while other crews opened windows to ventilate the smoke.
Investigators determined the cause of the fire to be an improperly disposed vape pen. Firefighters were assisted by .
