On July 19, 2025, at 0310 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1800 block of River Run Trail in response to reports of shots fired.

Details/Summary:
Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1800 block of River Run Trail just after 3am to calls of hearing shots fired. Officers located a male suffering for several gunshot wounds. Medics transported the male to a local hospital is critical condition and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The name and age of the victim are unknown currently.

This shooting is being investigated by the FWPD Homicide Team, Air Support, Crime Scene, Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
