Details/Summary:
On July 4th, 2025 at 1621 hours, Officers responded to the 200 Block of Sandra Court in reference to a child molesting complaint. Upon arrival, they made contact with family members and began a preliminary investigation. The detective bureau was contacted, and the case was assigned to Detective RJ Sutphin in the Crimes Against Persons Unit (CAPS). Detective Sutphin discovered during his investigation that the suspect was named Perry Miles. Detective Sutphin learned that Miles had molested a five (5) and a six (6) year old victim at the residence. Last night, Officers located Miles and took him into custody. He was subsequently transported to the Allen County Jail reference his charges. The Fort Wayne Police Department thanks the staff of the Indiana Department of Child Services, the Sexual Assault Treatment Center, and the Dr. Bill Lewis Center for Children with their cooperation in this investigation.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
