I have always believed that the North River site represents a once-in-ageneration opportunity for Fort Wayne — and from the very beginning, my only goal has been to help ensure the very best outcome for our community.
While disappointed that our team was not selected, I respect the process. I am fully supportive of Mayor Tucker’s plans, including her bold commitment to the Fieldhouse and the broader North River development. I applaud the City for attracting such outstanding finalists and making a choice rooted in what’s best for our city’s future.
I hope that our team’s interest and clear message of casting a lofty vision for this site has been helpful to this process. I will encourage and support the imagination and plans of the finalists and the City leaders.
I remain deeply committed to Fort Wayne’s continued growth and revitalization and stand ready to contribute in any way that will support the success of this project and the greater downtown. We have so much to be proud of — and even more to look forward to as we work together to shape the future of our community.
