
On June 27, 2025, the FWPD Homicide Task Force took two suspects into custody in the double-homicide investigation of yesterday’s Smith Street/Hamilton Avenue shootings.

Details/Summary:
Through the course of the investigation of the homicide at the intersection of Smith Street and Hamilton Avenue on June 26, 2025, FWPD Homicide Detectives identified two suspects in connection with the double homicide, Shan Ford Jr. 29yo and Quenecia Gaylor 37yo. On June 27, 2025, the Homicide Task Force took Quenecia into custody in the 4100 block of S. Clinton St without incident. On June 27, 2025, the Homicide Task Force took Shan Ford Jr. into custody in the 100 block of E. Superior St without incident. Ford is preliminary charged with Murder, Felony Murder and Attempted Burglary, and Gaylor is preliminary charged with Murder-Acting in Concert, Felony Murder-Acting in Concert and Attempted Burglary. Both Ford and Gaylor are confined at the Allen County Lockup.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
