Foellinger Foundation awards $1.4M in community interests and capacity building grants

Foellinger Foundation’s Board of Directors has approved grants totaling $1,381,800 to support nonprofit organizations in Allen County, Indiana.

Foellinger Foundation Awards $1,381,800 in Community Interests and Capacity Building Grants in Allen County

Fort Wayne, Indiana (June 12, 2025) – Foellinger Foundation’s Board of Directors has approved grants totaling $1,381,800 to support nonprofit organizations in Allen County. These grants were awarded in two key areas: Community Interests and Capacity Building.

“Through our Community Interest grants, we’re proud to support nonprofits that bring arts, culture, and enriching experiences to life—elements that make our community vibrant. The Foellinger family believed deeply in that vibrancy, and we’re honored to carry forward their legacy by offering these grant opportunities,” said Sarah Strimmenos, Foellinger Foundation President & CEO.

Thirty-eight Community Interests grants totaling $1,303,500 were awarded to nonprofit organizations dedicated to providing dynamic programs that support the growth, development, and well-being of Allen County children and families. Recipients include:

  • Grow Allen

Seven Capacity Building grants totaling $78,300 were also awarded to support board-driven initiatives that enhance an organization’s financial sustainability, governance, and operational effectiveness.
