On May 20, 2025, after an investigation into child pornography allegations, Richard Eugene Konger was arrested for several felony charges and transported to the Allen County Jail.

Details/Summary:
On March 21st, 2025 the Fort Wayne Police Department received a complaint from the Internet Crime Complaint Center for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The nature of the complaint was the possession of child pornography. Detective Roy Sutphin of the Crimes Against Person Section (CAPS) was assigned to the investigation. During his investigation, Detective Sutphin identified the suspect as Richard Eugene Konger, a Fort Wayne resident. On May 8th, 2025 Detective Sutphin, along with additional members of CAPS, served a search warrant on Mr. Konger’s residence. Several items of evidence were seized. Upon analyzing the evidence, child pornography was found on these devices. In addition, Detective Sutphin discovered that Mr. Konger has also been soliciting children online for sex. On May 20th, 2025, Mr. Konger was arrested for several felony charges and was transported to the Allen County Jail.
