Eco Fest returns to the Summit City on Sunday, May 18th, 2025, at Headwaters Park.

6th Annual Eco Fest Brings Sustainability to Fort Wayne on May 18th
Fort Wayne, Indiana (May 13, 2025) – Eco Fest returns to the Summit City on Sunday, May 18th, 2025, at Headwaters Park. Eco Fest established roots in Fort Wayne in 2019, and has grown significantly in the years following. The free event is organized with the goal of highlighting the sustainable and environmentally-friendly initiatives that are shaping Northeast Indiana.
Eco Fest is a celebration that connects thousands of attendees with over 100 local businesses, non-profits, activity providers, and food and beverage vendors. The event is designed to welcome everyone, regardless of their familiarity with environmentally-friendly actions. Highlights of the 2025 event include free children’s activities, meet the birds and raptor education with Soarin’ Hawk, live music from the Dumpster Drummers, Sun.Dyle, Augmentasia, and Peachtree, and pontoon tours courtesy of Maumee Watershed Alliance.
This year, Eco Fest is excited to announce new partnerships with Big Fort Fest and Arab Fest. While these events have different missions, they are collaborating with Eco Fest by implementing “Waste Stations”. This concept, first introduced by Eco Fest in 2022, invites attendees to drop all waste items off at a single, staffed location, where volunteers separate it into trash, compost, and recycling.
“We are proud to see the concept of the Waste Station being adopted by other events.” Says Addie Farris, President of Eco Fest. “We believe it is a sign that the community’s interest in sustainability and the environment is growing, which is a key part of our mission. Whether you’re at home, at a restaurant, or at an event like Eco Fest, we want community members to be intentional about the trash that they produce and to think about how those items affect our planet.”
