The Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a reported apartment fire in the 7000 block of Thamesford Drive at 0100 hours on May 2, 2025.
Time of Alarm: 01:00 hours
On Scene: 01:05 hours
Under Control: 01:21 hours
FWFD units arrived on the scene quickly and began an aggressive fire attack and search of the residence.
Two occupants had self evacuated and reported that they were unsure of where the third person that lives there was.
The fire was brought under control in twenty minutes and all searches came up negative for anyone still inside.
The Three Rivers Ambulance Authority did transport one individual for smoke inhalation. American Red Cross assistance for two was requested.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, the Fort Wayne Police Department, NIPSCO, Indiana Michigan Power, the American Red Cross, and City of Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement.
Fire Damage: Moderate
Water Damage: Heavy
Smoke Damage: Moderate
The fire remains under investigation.
