On April 18, 2025, at 1437 hours, Fort Wayne Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of Parnell Avenue and Spy Run Avenue Extended in reference to a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

Details/Summary:
At approximately 2:37 pm Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Parnell & Spy Run Ave Ext reference a vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. When officers arrived they found a motorcycle struck a box truck. Medics declared the motorcyclist, an adult male, deceased on scene. It is not yet been determined if speed or alcohol are a factor. The driver of the box truck did not sustain any injuries and is cooperating with the investigation.
This incident remains under investigation with the Fort Wayne Police Fatal Crash Team and Allen County Prosecutors office. Spy Run Ext and Parnell are reopen at this time.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
