On April 18, 2025, at 1330 hours, Fort Wayne Police Department officers were dispatched to the 4900 block of Hessen Cassel Road regarding a vehicle crash.

Details/Summary:
At Approximately 1:30 pm Officers were dispatched to the area of 4900 Hessen Cassel Road regarding a vehicle crash. Once on scene officers located a vehicle left the roadway striking a light pole and a parked, unoccupied car. The driver, an adult male was unconscious. Fire and medics began life saving measures and he was transported to a local hospital where he was listed to be in life threatening condition. It is not yet known if speed or alcohol are a factor.
This incident remains under investigation with the Fort Wayne Police Fatal Crash Team and Allen County Prosecutors office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
