Traffic Alert: Hanna Street Closure Begins Monday

Fort Wayne, Indiana (March 28, 2025) – Beginning Monday, March 31, 2025, Hanna Street will be closed between Pontiac and Oxford Street while crews connect homes to the new water main. The work is expected to last until June 13.

The following detour will be in place for motorists:

  • Northbound from Hanna: East Rudisill Boulevard to Lafayette Street to, Pontiac and back to Hanna.
  • Southbound from Hanna: Pontiac to Clinton Street, to East Rudisill, and back to Hanna.

The new water main replaces a pipe installed 100 years ago (1925). Besides connecting the homes to the new main, the work also assists several homeowners with replacing their privately owned lead service line on their property.
