Honor Flight Northeast Indiana (HFNEI) will celebrate its historic 50th flight to Washington D.C. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.Fort Wayne, Indiana (March 26, 2025) – Phil’s One Stop is the full flight sponsor for this notable event. They have raised over $500,000 on behalf of Honor Flight and this will be their 4th full flight sponsorship. Owners Phil and Renee Carper share, “We’re blessed to honor those who have served and sacrificed for the freedoms we all enjoy today. Phil’s One Stop sincerely thanks our customers, employees, and vendors for their involvement in supporting HFNEI Flight #50. Fifty flights transporting veterans to Washington D.C. is a remarkable achievement by HFNEI, showcasing the commitment and dedication of their board and volunteers.”
Honor Flight has safely transported 3,817 Veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built to honor their service and sacrifice for this great country. There are 84 veterans confirmed to go on this flight; Korean War – 2 veterans; Cold War – 14 veterans; Vietnam War – 67 veterans and Lebanon/Grenada – 1 veteran. Among the honored veterans on this flight, one has been awarded two Purple Hearts, and another has received a Bronze Star.

Berkshire continues, “We encourage everyone to attend the Welcome Home Celebration to honor these heroes when they return home from Washington D.C. Please plan to arrive at the Fort Wayne International Airport by 8:00 pm and park in long-term parking.”
