Still Time to Register for FREE Rain Garden Workshop
Personal Instruction is Tuesday at Salomon Farm

Fort Wayne, Indiana (March 22, 2025) – Does your yard or home have issues after heavy rain? Does your yard stay wet for days? A rain garden could help.
Join City Utilities for a Free rain garden workshop and learn how to soak up stormwater in your yard at a Free Rain Garden Workshop at Salomon Farm, 817 Dupont Road, on Tuesday, March 25, from 5:00 – 6:30 PM.

Attendees are asked to pre-register. During the session they will be able to get specific input on possible solutions for their property.

A rain garden is a landscaped area that holds rainwater runoff for a few hours to a few days using native plants that help the soil soak up more water. After a rain event, the water slowly soaks into the ground. Compared with a grassed lawn area, a rain garden may allow 30% more water to be absorbed. Space is limited and attendees should register.
