The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the report of a residential structure with fire showing on March 19, 2025, at 0249 hours in the 2700 block of West Washington Center Road.
Time of Alarm: 0249 hours
On Scene: 0255 hours
Under Control: 0330 hours
FWFD Engine 6 arrived and confirmed the fire which was showing throughout half of the home. Crews began working on extinguishing the fire and was assisted as other FWFD units arrived. The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire. Crews worked for nearly an hour to get the fire under control. One firefighter was transported to an area hospital to get checked out.

Water Damage: Heavy
Smoke Damage: Heavy
The fire remains under investigation at this time.
Assisting at the scene were the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, City of Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement, Indiana Michigan Power, and NIPSCO.
