FWFD: House Fire, 4200 Bowser Avenue

The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a possible house fire in the 4200 block of Bowser Avenue on March 13, 2025, at 0234 hours.

Time of Alarm: 0234 hours
On Scene: 0239 hours
Under Control: 0303 hours

When FWFD Engine 11 arrived, smoke was coming from the second-floor windows and roof area. Crews immediately entered and started extinguishing the fire and searching for occupants. Seven residents had been alerted by smoke detectors in the house and were able to safely exit the house prior to the fire department arriving. Other crews arrived and brought the situation under control in approximately 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported and the American Red Cross was called to assist the family.

Fire Damage: Moderate
Water Damage: Moderate
Smoke Damage: Heavy

Other agencies assisting at the scene included the Fort Wayne Police Department, Indiana Michigan Power, NIPSCO, the American Red Cross, City of Fort Wayne Neighborhood Code Enforcement, and the Three Rivers Ambulance Authority.
