On Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a shooting that had occurred in the 4000 block of Halsley Court in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
News release from the Allen County Coroner:
On Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a shooting that had occurred in the 4000 block of Halsey [sic] Court in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The person has been identified as Taurean Malik Hayden, 23, male, Black of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
An autopsy has been completed, and notification has been made to the legal next of kin. The Cause of Death is Multiple Gunshot Wounds, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Taurean Malik Hayden is the 8th homicide for Allen County in 2025.
The incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Sherrif’s [sic] Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
