On March 4, 2025, just after 1400 hours, FWPD officers were dispatched to the area of Lafayette Street and East Rudisill Boulevard regarding a male driving a gold Saturn and pointing a firearm at people.

  1. Resisting Law Enforcement, Level 6 Felony
  2. Unlawful carry of a handgun, Class A Misdemeanor

Details/Summary:

On Tuesday March 4th 2025 just after 2pm officers were dispatched to the area of Lafayette and Rudisill regarding A male driving a gold Saturn pointing a firearm at people. Officers located the vehicle in the area of Lafayette and Leith and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The vehicle refused to yield and continued North on Lafayette at a low rate of speed. Tire deflation devices were effectively deployed, and the vehicle eventually came to a stop on 4th street in the parking lot near the Lawton Skate Park. The driver, identified as Nicholas Ebbing, initially refused to exit the vehicle. He eventually discarded a firearm out the window before finally exiting the vehicle where he was taken into custody.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
