Suspect Arrested: Jacob Steven Pfeiffer, 31 years of age
Preliminary Charges:
- Battery to a minor under 14 years of age; Level 5 Felony
- Domestic Battery to a minor under 14 years of age; Level 5 Felony
- Neglect of a dependent; Level 5 Felony
Details/Summary:
On February 12th, 2025 the Fort Wayne Police Department was contacted by the Indiana Department of Child Services regarding a child abuse assessment. A seven-year-old child had sustained various injuries during the incident. Detective Sergeant James Haupert of the Crimes Against Persons Section (CAPS) was assigned to the investigation. During the investigation, he learned that Jacob Pfeiffer was involved in causing the injuries to the victim. On this date, Jacob Pfeiffer was arrested for the charges listed.
