The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported house fire on February 13, 2025, at 2232 hours, in the 600 block of Warwick Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The first units arrived on the scene to find fire coming from a window at the front of the home. Upon entry, the fire was located in a bedroom and quickly extinguished.
There was one adult and four pets home when the fire started. The Adult self-evacuated prior to our arrival but the four pets perished (2 dogs and 2 cats).
The fire is under investigation at the time of this report.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was assisted by the Fort Wayne Police Department, Three Rivers Ambulance Authority, Neighborhood Code Enforcement, Indiana Michigan Power, and NIPSCO.
