Construction Update: Allen County Justice Center
Fort Wayne, Indiana (February 13, 2025) – Weigand Construction and their team of subcontractors have spent the last few months preparing the job site for the arrival of steel and precast concrete walls. Starting on the northeast portion of the building and moving counterclockwise, workers have excavated footings and foundations and poured multiple truckloads of concrete each day. They dug out the locations of and started placing underground utilities, including large diameter stormwater pipes that will carry water from over 300,00 square feet of flat roof to onsite stormwater detention areas.
This past weekend saw the installation of a water main, the first step in connecting the site to Fort Wayne City Utilities. Deliveries of steel and precast concrete walls will begin over the next six to eight weeks.
