Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker will attend the 93rd Winter Meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors this weekend in Washington, D.C.

Mayor Tucker to attend Winter Meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors

Fort Wayne, Indiana (January 15, 2025) – Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker will attend the 93rd Winter Meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The event will be held Friday-Sunday in Washington, D.C.

Some of the topics of discussion will include transportation, housing, small businesses, public safety, and technology.

President Joe Biden is scheduled to address the mayors on Friday.

“I’m looking forward to this unique opportunity to meet and interact with fellow mayors from across the country,” said Mayor Tucker. “Cities are the frontline to provide essential services to residents and be a leader in retaining businesses and bringing new jobs and economic development projects to communities. By working together, mayors can make a positive difference.”

The U.S. Conference of Mayors is a non-partisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. Primary roles of the organization include advocacy, networking, best practices, and promotion of cities.
