Public Meeting: Leesburg Road Extension Project

Fort Wayne, Indiana (January 15, 2025) – The City of Fort Wayne invites the public to attend an open house to learn more about the Leesburg Road Extension Project.

The meeting will be held at VFW – Post 857, 2202 W. Main Street, on Wednesday, January 22, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. An ASL interpreter will be provided.

During the meeting, project representatives from the City of Fort Wayne and Milestone Contractors, LP. will provide project updates and answer questions from the public.

The Leesburg Road Extension Project is located in the Nebraska Neighborhood. The project aims to improve safety, extend Leesburg Road to Jefferson Boulevard, and add a stoplight at the intersection with Jefferson near SweetCars. The project will also bring ADA-compliant sidewalks, drainage improvements, street lighting, and urban landscaping. The new roundabout, which will be constructed at the intersection of West Main and Leesburg, will also receive a public art sculpture known as the Wounded Veterans Memorial Monument.
