Community input requested for open public space in Treeline District

Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation will host a public meeting to gather input on the design for an open public space within the new Treeline District anticipated for the north side of the St. Marys River which was announced in mid-2024.

Community Input Requested for Open Public Space in Treeline District

Fort Wayne, Indiana (January 14, 2025) – Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation will host a public meeting to gather input on the design for an open public space within the new Treeline District anticipated for the north side of the St. Marys River which was announced in mid-2024. This area is bound by Harrison Street, the St. Marys River, Wells Street and Second Street.

The open house style meeting will be available from 5:00-7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 21 in the Park Foundation Pavilion at Promenade Park (202 West Superior Street).

The public is welcome to join anytime within those hours. Activities are planned to help gather input. It is estimated that participation will take about 20 minutes, but all are welcome to stay longer to interact with the Planning Team.

Inclement Weather Procedure:
Any program changes, facility closures or other weather-related adjustments will be posted to the FWPRD social media pages and website. Text alerts will be sent (to those that have opted-in to this service). If the Mayor declares an emergency, all Parks and Recreation facilities and programs will be closed or canceled.
