FWPD: Unattended Children in vehicle results in arrest

On November 18, 2024 at 1412 hours, the FWPD responded to a complaint of several unattended children in a vehicle at the Glenbrook Mall.

Suspect Arrested: Jermaine Laquial Williams, 32 years of age

Details/Summary:

On November 18th, 2024 at 1412 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a complaint of several unattended children in a vehicle at the Glenbrook Mall. Officers responded to the scene and discovered two (2-year-old) children, and one three (3) year old child in the vehicle alone. During the investigation the suspect was identified as Jermaine Williams. He stated that he was operating the “More Love Learning Center” and was responsible for the care of these children. On January 2nd, 2025 a warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was subsequently taken into custody for three counts of felony neglect of a dependent. The Fort Wayne Police Department thanks the brave citizen who reported this crime, and all the staff and personnel at the Glenbrook Mall who assisted us in this investigation.
