
On December 7, 2024, at 0005 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the report of fire at the Baldwin Creek Apartments on Hobson Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 0005 hours
On Scene: 0008 hours
Under Control: 0158 hours
Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire and smoke coming from the first floor and extending to the second floor. A second alarm was called for immediately. The fire spread throughout the attic of the structure and took over an hour and a half to get under control.
All residents self-evacuated prior to the fire depts arrival. The exact number of residents is unknown at the time of this report – approximately 20-40 residents.
At the time of this report the cause is under investigation.
There were no injuries reported.
