Details/Summary:
On May 06, 2024, the Indiana Department of Child Services notified the Fort Wayne Police Department of alleged child sexual abuse that was initially disclosed to a School Counselor. Detective Sergeant Todd Battershell, a supervisor of the Crimes Against Person Section (CAPS), adopted the case. The minor child visited the Dr. Bill Lewis Center For Children where she disclosed child sexual abuse by Randy Currie. The case was presented to the Allen County Prosecutors Office leading to charges and subsequent warrant for Mr. Currie’s arrest. He was located and taken into custody to await his preliminary hearing.
