Celebrate Take a Hike Day on Sunday
Fort Wayne, Indiana (November 7, 2024) – Bring a friend and join the City of Fort Wayne Greenways and Trails Department to celebrate National Take a Hike Day at 2:00 p.m., Sunday November 17. We’ll meet at the Pufferbelly Trailhead near the Parkview Family YMCA, 10001 Dawsons Creek Boulevard, and head south on the tree-lined Pufferbelly Trail for a leisurely 3-mile stroll.
Some tips for the hike:
- Wear comfortable shoes
- Bring water
- Dress in appropriate clothing for the weather
National Take a Hike was created in 1976 by the American Hiking Society as a reminder that hiking can be simple and accessible.
