FWFD: House Fire, 3200 block Dinnen Avenue

On September 27, 2024, at 0445 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 3200 block of Dinnen Avenue.

Time of Alarm: 0445 hours
On Scene: 0449 hours
Under Control: 0459 hours

Per 9-1-1 communications, all occupants were out but pets were inside. On arrival, firefighters found smoke and fire at the front entry door. Crews pulled fire attack lines and quickly extinguished a working kitchen fire. A subsequent search of structure found no other occupants.

Three cats were found on the search, but one was deceased. Animal control was making the scene to handle the pets.

There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Water Damage: Moderate
Smoke Damage: Heavy
