Details/Summary:
The FWPD was notified of a shooting in the area of Oliver St. and E. Rudisill Blvd. on Sept. 19th, 2024 at roughly 10:48 pm. Initial information received from Dispatch was that the caller’s son was shot/grazed, and they were en route to the hospital. FWPD officers arrived in the area of Oliver and Rudisill and were looking for the scene of the shooting. Evidence of the shooting was located in the 4000 block of Oliver St. FWPD officers also responded to the hospital to make contact with the caller and the victim. The victim, a male juvenile, 17 years of age, was in life-threatening condition.
There is no one currently in custody. This investigation is active and in its preliminary stages. Based on the information gathered, there is no threat to the public.
