On Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 0515 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a shooting investigation at Lutheran Hospital (downtown). A gunshot victim was privately conveyed to the hospital. The victim was listed in critical condition and received a medical transport by ambulance to Lutheran Hospital (West), where the victim was still listed in life threatening condition. The FWPD Homicide Unit conducted the criminal investigation and subsequently arrested 28yo Cameron Leshore on one count of Aggravated Battery. Leshore was transported to the Allen County Jail. The Homicide Unit was assisted by Crime Scene Management, the Aerial Support Unit, the Digital Forensics Unit, the Uniform Operations Division, and the Allen County Prosecutors Office.
