On September 12, 2024, at 1929 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 1800 block of Steup Avenue.
Time of Alarm: 1929 hours
On Scene: 1933 hours
Under Control: 1939 hours
On arrival, firefighters found smoke and fire coming from a living room window of the home. Crews performed an aggressive fire attack and search of the home. They quickly extinguished the fire in 6 minutes. No occupants were inside the home at the time of the fire; however, 2 dogs were inside and were removed from the home.
Investigators found the cause of the fire was electrical in nature.
Fire Damage: Moderate
Water Damage: Minor
Smoke Damage: Moderate
