8th Annual Friends of the Poor Walk and Tailgate to Support the St. Vincent de Paul Society

1300 Ewing Street, Fort WayneFort Wayne, Indiana (September 2024) – The St. Vincent de Paul Society of Fort Wayne is hosting its 8th annual Friends of the Poor Walk on Sunday, September 22nd. The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a tailgate, live music, and ice cream in the parking lot of Parkview Field followed by the walk at 3:00 pm. All ages are welcome to participate to raise awareness of those living in poverty in NE Indiana. Several distance options are available: 3 miles, 1.25 mile, or a 1/3-mile loop. Majic 95.1 is the Title Sponsor and many other corporate sponsors are also supporting the event.
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is a network of friends growing in spirituality and serving others with love and compassion. Proceeds from the SVDP Friends of the Poor Walk will help local families with food, rent, utilities, transportation, clothing, furniture, and home repairs.
