On September 5, 2024, at 1111 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire in the 9500 block of Ledge Wood Court.
Time of Alarm: 1111 hours
On Scene: 1115 hours
Under Control: 1135 hours
Upon Engine 18’s arrival, they found moderate smoke coming from the structure. The only resident of the home self-evacuated and stated the fire was in a back closet. Fire crews entered and were confronted with moderate smoke and heat. A fire was found in back bedroom closet and bathroom. The fire was quickly extinguished. Other crews checked for extension of the fire into attic, but no other extension or issues were found. Crews worked on clearing the smoke from the structure and assisting salvage efforts.
There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Water Damage: Minor
Smoke Damage: Heavy
