On September 3, 2024, at 1205 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a report of an Apartment fire in the 7900 block of Decatur Road.
Time of Alarm: 1205 hours
On Scene: 1206 hours
Under Control: 1207 hours
The first firefighters arrived on the scene and found a fire in a third floor apartment. The fire was quickly extinguished and fire damage was confined to that apartment, however, there was smoke throughout the third floor. The fire was under control in 27 minutes. Crews remained on the scene to assist with smoke removal.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
