Details/Summary:
The Indiana Department of Child Services reported suspected child sexual abuse on April 01, 2024 after learning a minor was pregnant. The child refused to discuss her pregnancy at that time. However, her child was born in July 2024 and the minor disclosed who the father was. Detective Sergeant Todd Battershell, a supervisor of the Crimes Against Persons Section (CAPS), adopted the case. The minor disclosed the details that led to her becoming pregnant during a Forensic Interview at the Dr. Bill Lewis Center For Children. She named That Khaing Oo as the father. Mr. Oo was located on August 28, 2024 with the assistance of Officers Z. Cole and J. Hoover, and taken to the Fort Wayne Police Operations Center. He was subsequently arrested by Detective Sergeant Battershell for the charges listed and is awaiting his preliminary hearing.
