On August 11, 2024, at 15:13 hours, the FWPD responded to the 1800 block of Fairfax Avenue regarding a caller who advised he’d been shot.
The FWPD responded to the 1800 block of Fairfax Avenue. in reference to a shooting, Aug. 11th, 2024 at roughly 3:13pm. The caller advised that he had been shot. Officers responded to the area and located an adult male, on the ground, in the middle of the roadway, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound(s). Officers began to provide medical care to the victim. Officers and Detectives canvassed the area for witnesses, evidence, cameras etc. A possible suspect vehicle was located in the area and towed for processing. The victim was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition. This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
