TinCaps Win Streak Ends at Four Games

South Bend, Indiana (August 10, 2024) – While Parkview Field hosted 7,516 fans at the sold-out Major League Baseball Home Run Derby X on Saturday night, the TinCaps’ four-game winning streak ended at Four Winds Field with a 5-1 loss to the South Bend Cubs. It had been Fort Wayne’s longest win streak since May.

Fort Wayne (16-25, 44-63) only notched two hits – a single from Joshua Mears and an RBI double from Ethan Long.

South Bend (14-27, 41-66) scored four runs off TinCaps starter Enmanuel Pinales through five innings. Pinales struck out six and only walked one. ‘Caps relievers Will Geerdes and Joan Gonzalez only allowed one run in their three innings of relief.
