FWPD: Armed Robbery Arrest, 100 block East Washington Boulevard

Antonio Abul Husn has been arrested by the FWPD for an alleged armed robbery that occurred today at roughly 9:51 am in the downtown Civic Center Parking Garage.

  3. Level 6 Felony Resisting Law Enforcement Officer – Physical – Causing Injury & Resisting Law Enforcement Officer – Fleeing on Foot

Details/Summary:

Antonio Abul Husn has been arrested for an alleged armed robbery that occurred today at roughly 9:51 am in the downtown Civic parking garage. FWPD officers responded to an initial report of an adult male being jumped by another male with a knife. Officers saturated the area and located the suspect, Antonio at Calhoun and E. Jefferson. A taser was deployed, but it did not connect with the suspect, as he fled on foot. The suspect was eventually caught by officers and taken to the ground where he continued to physically resist. Several officers were able to finally get him into custody. The victim suffered moderate injuries from the assault. A Fort Wayne Police officer also suffered a minor injury during the incident.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
