
On July 4, 2024, at 1206 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a reported residential structure fire in the 4000 block of East Pettit Avenue.
Time of Alarm: 1206 hours
On Scene: 1211 hours
Under Control: 1216 hours
Firefighters arrived to find smoke visible from a small single story residential structure and one individual outside. Crews quickly rendered aid to the individual and worked to extinguish the fire and search the structure.
The fire was marked under control in less than five minutes. A search of the structure found no other people inside, and Three Rivers Ambulance Authority crews transported the injured person to the hospital.
No firefighters were injured in the effort and the fire remains under investigation at this time.
