The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to an EMS assist at the 5100th block of Desoto Dr. just before 1pm today. There was a medical emergency involving a male juvenile at the pool. Lifeguards on duty provided CPR to the juvenile until Paramedics arrived and took over life saving measures. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition.
Detectives and Crime Scene officers made the scene to interview witnesses and preserve any potential evidence as a precaution. This is standard procedure in case an apparent accident or medical episode reveal other elements after a thorough investigation.
