On April 11th, 2024, the Fort Wayne Police Department received a complaint of a male suspect who had allegedly challenged and detained several juveniles who were at or near the River City complex, located in the 400 block of Griffin Street.

Suspect Arrested: David Arnold Griggs, 60 years of age

Details/Summary:

On April 11th, 2024, the Fort Wayne Police Department received a complaint of a male suspect who had allegedly challenged and detained several juveniles who were at or near the River City complex, located in the 400 block of Griffin Street. This suspect also allegedly brandished and pointed a rifle at the juveniles during their encounter. Detective Jean Gigli was assigned to the investigation of the Crimes Against Persons Unit (CAPS). During the investigation, the male suspect was identified as David Arnold Griggs. Today at 1000 hours, Detectives and Officers took Griggs into custody without incident. The Fort Wayne Police Department extends its sincere thanks to the staff of the Dr. Bill Lewis Center for children, who assisted Detectives during this investigation.
