On May 26, 2024, at 1604 horus, a homeowner in the 2900 block of Glencairn Drive called 9-1-1 to report that lightning had struck the roof of his house and smoke had been observed.

On Scene: 1607 hours
Under Control: 1619 hours
The first firefighters arrived on the scene in three minutes and smoke was coming from the roof above the garage. The crew pulled a line to attack the fire in the attic and confirmed that everyone had evacuated. Other units arrived and assisted with fire control and salvage work.
The fire was under control in 15 minutes and no injuries were reported.
